What is on this term

Yesterday, 19 September, we held our Canterbury Catchball End of Term 3 Tournament!

We started with some short, friendly mixed-team games—a chance to warm up and get to know players from other teams across the community.

Then four teams competed for the trophy: Papanui, Eastside 1, Eastside 2 and Lyttelton. After some intense matches with close scores, Papanui claimed first place!

A big thank you to all the participants, organisers and helpers who made the day possible. Congratulations to our champions, Papanui!

And thank you, Hanah, for sharing this short clip capturing some moments from the tournament!

We are very grateful to Pub Charity Limited for supporting Canterbury Catchball Association with a grant towards our team registration fees for the 2026 New Zealand Catchball Nationals in Christchurch in October.

This funding will help reduce the cost of participating for our players and make the tournament more accessible to our growing Catchball community.

As a volunteer-run, not-for-profit association, support like this makes a real difference and helps us continue creating opportunities for women to be active, connect with others and enjoy team sport.

Thank you, Pub Charity Limited, for supporting our players and our community
